Pakistani troops again violate ceasefire
In Jammu and Kashmir in yet another incident of ceasefire violation Pakistani troops on Friday late night started unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts in border district of Poonch.According to Defence spokesperson S.N.Acharya, Pakistan troops started firing on four Indian forward posts Noor Kote, Nakkar Kote, Languor and Rakhanwali in Durga Battalion area of Poonch sector around 10.20 p.m.Indian troops initially exercised restraint but as the Pak firing continued unabated they retaliated effectively to silence the Pak roaring guns. This exchange of fire continued for several hours and finally stopped at 4.30 this morning. However, there was no loss of life or damage to property on our side. Pakistani troops fired about 7,000 rounds of PIKA and medium mortars. It has been observed that Pakistan in order to push trained militants into this side resorts to unprovoked firing on Indian positions so as to provide cover to the infiltrating militants.
