In Chhattisgarh, the death toll in the naxal attack has gone upto 28 with the recovery of 11 bodies this morning. These include the bodies of State Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel and his son, who were kidnapped by the ultras.Twenty five others including former Union Minister VC Shukla have been injured in the incident which took place near Jagdalpur. Mr. Shukla who was critically injured has been brought to Delhi and admitted to Medanta City hospital in Gurgaon for treatment.A medical bulletin issued by the hospital says, Mr. Shukla’s condition still remains critical. A multi deciplenary team of doctors are attending Mr. Shukla. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit visited the hospital and enquired about his health.
