Bandh affects normal life in Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra
In Andhra Pradesh, normal life has been hit in Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions today due to bandh called by the Seemandhra Joint Action Committee protesting against the proposed division of the state. Protest demonstrations are underway so far peacefully at several places.Students, Employees, Lawyers and Business community are taking part in the agitation demanding the Government to keep the state united. The effect of the bandh is more visible in urban areas like Vijayawada, Ananthapur, Visakhapatnam , Ongolu and Tirupati. Demanding resignations from public representatives, agitators thronged their residences at several places.Most of the Road transport Corporation buses have been confined to depots as the agitators began protest demonstrations from early morning which led to severe inconvenience to commuters. Meanwhile, the leaders from Seemandhra and Telangana regions across the party lines are holding hectic consultations in Hyderabad over their future course of action.
