In Punjab, polling is on for the the Panchayats elections in 13,172 villages of state. No untoward incident has been reported from anywhere so far.Meanwhile, State Congress President, Partap Singh Bajwa has appealed to the Punjab & Haryana High Court for a CBI enquiry in a case of official photocopying of ballot papers by private individuals in Jalandhar. These ballot papers were meant for Jalandhar, Hohiarpur and Amritsar districts.State Election Commissioner Shivinder Singh Brar has told AIR Jalandhar Correspondent that he has asked the Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner to submit a report in this regard within two days.
